1. Create a Google Business Profile
This is the free step with the biggest payoff: a listing with your name, phone, address and business hours. When someone searches for “barbershop near me”, this listing is what shows up on the map. Search for “Google Business Profile”, create one for free, and verify your business.
2. Connect your site to Search Console
This is Google's tool for telling it “there's a site here, come and crawl it”. Go to Search Console, add your address, and confirm ownership with a verification code, which you can paste into the Rakatar dashboard in the “How Google will find you” step.
3. Ask happy customers for reviews
Google reviews are what move your business up in local results. Ask a happy customer to leave a short review on your Business Profile. Two or three a month make a real difference.
